April 12, 2008, NJ Assemblyman John Villipiano, thanks Dan Rachmelowitz for his work and fund raising in "Saving the Music" .   Dan knows first hand that studying an instrument helped him focus.  This focus later helped him  to give  back his undivided attention to the community.   Musical intrument study is necessary in today's society,  new technology is wonderful and can make the music better but it has also gotten people lost.   I wonder if all those people out there know where that I-Pod music actually came from,  it seems as though  people think a full band and electronic music comes out of one instrument.   Lack of appreciation is also evident when I get asked   to serenede people with songs that just don't work for sax or have no traditional verse, bridge & chorus.  Dan says to the audience "studying music will solve the short attention span problems of todays kids, it will also keep them out of trouble."
